Application to Reinstate Netscape Member

Dear C.K.,

We, the undersigned by voting, are appealing to you as the Lead Anchor at Netscape, to reconsider the banning of a fellow member, ZeigfeldGirl, who is recently banned "for violating our Terms of Use."

We understand her violation included, but not limited to, the following:

1. Abusing the sink and the comment rating features
2. Hijacking several stories
3. Using inappropriate, hostile language

We further understand you have the right to automatically terminates a member who violates the "Terms of Use or any rules or guidelines posted in connection with Netscape.com... in our sole discretion ..., for any reason, with or without notice."

Nevertheless, somehow there is a dismal sadness from the bottom our hearts and it significantly compromises our pleasure of participation at Netscape. We feel sorrow when we lose a friend. We miss her comments that can tell each of us "what is the matter with you" in a minute, even though sometimes she may not seem such a "good friend" after telling. This is proven by the fact that almost 800 comments were written on Masked Protester's post "VOCIFERATU: The Decline and Fall of Conservatives on Netscape."

To the best of our knowledge, her recent violations are singularly originated from the anger and despair with the activities of Neophile, a Netscape Navigator. This is very unfortunate because I believe many Netscape members, including myself, actually consider both of them as our friends. Both of them have unquestionably contributed many interesting stories and comments to Netscape. Therefore, the majority of us are impartial about their personal quarrel, and we would feel the same way, if Neophile is being banned.

This letter is not intended to protest your decision. It is aimed to bring to your attention our unpleasant feelings about this matter. We would appreciate a response with your thoughts. Additionally, if it is still a possibility, we urge you to consider reinstating ZeigfeldGirl as soon as possible.
